Join Mutual of Omaha as a Social Impact Program Manager and be at the forefront of driving community engagement, employee giving and corporate philanthropic initiatives. As a core member of the Social Impact team, you'll collaborate with nonprofits, manage relationships, coordinate employee activities, and bring our philanthropic vision to life.

WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU:

  • Estimated Salary:  $84,500 - $110,000 plus annual bonus opportunity.
  • Benefits and Perks, 401(k) plan with a 2% company contribution and 6% company match.
  • Regular associates working 40 hours a week can earn up to 15 days of vacation each year.
  • Regular associates receive 11 paid holidays in 2024, which includes 2 floating holidays that are added to your prorated personal time to be used at your discretion.
  • Regular associates are provided sick leave through the use of personal time. Associates working 40 hours a week can receive up to 40 hours of personal time in 2024, which is prorated based on the start date. Additionally you will receive two floating holidays in 2024 by way of personal time that may be used at your discretion.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Community & Foundation: Manage charitable outreach efforts and employee giving programs for Mutual of Omaha. Coordinate volunteer activities, execute charitable sponsorships and participate in grant making activities for the Mutual of Omaha Foundation. Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Program Development: Create and manage programs promoting engagement, cultural awareness, diversity, and inclusiveness. Collaborate with business leaders and internal teams to integrate social impact initiatives into daily operations.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Foster strong relationships across the company and with external organizations to identify needs and design solutions.
  • Project Management: Lead program activities, develop project plans, and ensure timely execution in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Evaluation & Improvement: Evaluate program effectiveness, recommend improvements, and stay updated on best practices to maximize impact.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

  • Experience: 5-7 years in community affairs, philanthropy, or related fields with a focus on social impact.
  • Relationship Building: Ability to build and manage strong relationships internally and externally.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical acumen for evaluating program effectiveness and performance.
  • Project Management: Demonstrated experience in project and program management, ensuring on-time delivery and quality.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking, presentations, and program promotional materials.
  • Flexibility:  Ability to attend and as needed, execute community-related events outside of traditional work hours, which may include weekends.
  • You promote a culture of diversity and inclusion, value different ideas and opinions, and listen courageously, remaining curious in all that you do.
  • Ability to work at our home office located in Omaha, Nebraska, in a hybrid environment.

PREFERRED:

  • Nonprofit Expertise: Experience with community outreach, charitable sponsorships, volunteer coordination and grantmaking. Knowledge of nonprofit operations and governance models.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of legal, accounting, and regulatory IRS requirements for grantmaking and charitable sponsorships.
  • Commitment to Diversity: Promote a culture of diversity and inclusion within the organization.
