As our EDI Consultant, you'll ensure that electronic data exchanges are efficient, compliant, and secure, supporting Mutual of Omaha's operational processes and facilitating smooth interactions with external stakeholders.

WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU:

  • Estimated Salary: $50,960 - $62,000 plus annual bonus opportunity.
  • Benefits and Perks, 401(k) plan with a 2% company contribution and 6% company match.
  • Regular associates working 40 hours a week can earn up to 15 days of vacation each year.
  • Regular associates receive 11 paid holidays in 2024, which includes 2 floating holidays that are added to your prorated personal time to be used at your discretion.
  • Regular associates are provided sick leave through the use of personal time. Associates working 40 hours a week can receive up to 40 hours of personal time in 2024, which is prorated based on the start date. Additionally you will receive two floating holidays in 2024 by way of personal time that may be used at your discretion.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Lead the customer through EDI onboarding, identifying business needs, delivering file specifications, creation of first file, testing, and providing feedback/overall EDI consultation.
  • Responsible for timely and accurate tracking of cases and statuses for management requirements and reports.
  • Review and analyze all data submitted and initiate calls to Policyholders and Brokers to obtain missing information or clarify questions to ensure proper handling. Educate our policyholders and brokers through written or verbal communication to ensure a smooth, transparent EDI experience and accurate eligibility and premium handling based on contract provisions.
  • Responsible for timely and effective communication and follow up to ensure EDI development of the group is progressing in a manner that aligns with our customer service goals.
  • Proactively monitor and analyze EDI production activity for quality, accuracy, mapping issues, and adherence to regulatory compliance requirements.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

  • Must have solid working knowledge of EDI implementation, maintenance and service subject matter.  Previous EDI experience or file feed experience working with vendors, benefits administration partners and/or customers.
  • Advanced Excel skills including VLOOKUP's, filters, formulas, etc. 
  • A strong background with eligibility requirements, contract provisions, and applicable federal/state laws, and emerging industry trends.  
  • Strong foundation with applications used for eligibility investigation - COMPASS, GSAP, JIRA, EDI Processor, BAM.
  • Excellent customer service & human relations skills with the ability to adapt quickly to change and learn quickly.

  • Able to work remotely with access to a high-speed internet connection and located in the United States or Puerto Rico.

PREFERRED:

  • Thorough understanding of Workplace Solutions products, systems, and distribution channels.
