This role is responsible for managing and executing on the company's capital market's and investor relations strategy, with the primary goals of ensuring optimal execution of capital markets transactions, optimizing company ratings, and delivering appropriate deal structures and financing to provide the best economics for the enterprise.

This position will lead all aspects of capital markets execution including recommendation, approval, negotiation, sale, and closing.

The VP Capital Markets will lead all aspects of investor relations with Funding Agreement Backed Note investors, surplus note investors and rating agencies. This will include development of materials and communications, answering ad-hoc questions, leading roadshow meetings, investor update calls, and managing rating agency relationships.

This role will monitor and research capital markets to recommend strategies to raise capital, financing and borrowing to support overall business goals and objectives.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Negotiate all aspects of capital markets execution process including recommendation, approval, negotiation, sale, and closing.
  • Negotiate and work directly with bank partners regarding Line of Credit agreements, loan covenants, quarterly monitoring and borrowing to optimize use while minimizing costs
  • Coordinate with Legal to develop and review key company legal agreements, including company loan documents, subordination agreements private debt and guarantee agreements.
  • Lead all aspects of investor relations with Funding Agreement Backed Note investors, surplus note investors and rating agencies. This will include development of materials and communications, answering ad-hoc questions, leading roadshow meetings, investor update calls, and managing rating agency relationships.
  • Coordinate internal parties related to capital markets execution, investor communications, and expectations.
  • Monitor and research capital markets to recommend strategies to raise capital, financing, and borrowing to support overall business goals and objectives.
  • Work with the company's funding and banking partners to deliver securitizations and other financing vehicles, often working through new ideas and deal structures to secure the best economics for the company.
  • Monitor and research investors, rating agencies, and key stakeholders to provide feedback to senior management on their views of our current business mix, earnings/risk profile and strategy.
  • Partner internally with the product, finance, data, operations, legal, and risk teams to provide a markets/funding perspective on revenue forecasting, product strategy and operational requirements.
  • Build and maintain meaningful relationships with key stakeholders in the capital markets process including investors, rating agencies, regulators, investment banks, and internal employees across Finance, Investments, Strategy, and Strategic Business Units.

ABOUT YOU:

  • 5 years capital markets transaction execution experience
  • Financial modeling skills preferred
  • Bachelor's degree or higher, preferably with math / business / finance / economics focus Proven problem-solving, conceptual thinking, and analytical abilities
  • Strong process improvement and project management abilities Strong executive-level communication skills
  • Strong relationship building skills to work effectively across all areas of the business

  • Minimum: $162,727 Maximum: $260,772
  • Pay commensurate with experience.
